Brendan Fraser didn’t get an Oscar for The Whale. He retroactively was given an Oscar for his role as Rick O’Connell, and the academy just had to wait til he did another role.

I genuinely think that this is one of the most beautiful, sincere and spiritual films I have ever seen. Definitively in the top 4 on Letterboxd

"You want bread? Fuck a baker." .................... THE most underrated film of the 1980s and beyond. Car chase out-Bullitts Bullitt. 4 stars, son. This is a superb edgy flic, great action, and a GREAT CRITIQUE of this EVIL SICK EXPLOITATIVE CAPITALIST SHTHOLE. And did I mention Debra Feuer is One Hot Babe? Walked along with her for a minute or two in the Village in 1986 or 1987.... The only action hero to be killed-off matter-of-factly AND YET BROUGHT BACK ALIVE in the end credits.
